The meeting of the Supreme Council of the Secretaries of Zakat, led by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Protection, and the participation of the Secretary General of the Federal Zakat Bureau and the members of the Supreme Council of the Secretaries of Zakat.
The Minister opened the session, appreciating the efforts of the Zakat office in the speed of preparation of reports and high collection levels, praising the growth rate which positively reflected the expansion of the circle of services provided to the weak and targeted groups, stressing that what is achieved represents an important step in achieving Zakat objectives in the service of necessities.
For his part, the secretary of the Zakat office welcomed the minister and the presence, stressing the importance of the council to examine the previous decisions and monitoring the implementation of decisions, in addition to discussing the questions of Zakat at the center and in the States, and to develop the transformation of Zakat and Digital.
The meeting examined the performance report for the first half of the year 2025 after JC, as the performance rate reached 163.3%, an increase of 63.3% compared to the previous period. Banks have also included support for shelters and accommodation, as well as health insurance and treatment programs in the country and abroad, university and public education, orphan guarantee and direct drainage on poor families. The report also dealt with Ramadan programs, which understood the joy of the person on an empty stomach, support for needy families, and the Bank of the Garmin, and for the good of God and the son of Al-Sabeel.
The meeting also discussed Diwan's efforts in digital transformation by establishing a data center in the state of the Red Sea in the city of Port Sudan, and activating the “Eyali” service for electronic payment, in addition to the “country” platform which works to exchange government transactions and link state institutions in a way that contributes to the reduction of manual intervention.
The meeting experienced an examination of the caravans directed towards the various segments, the support of Al-Khalawi, Taka, Treatment and the wounded of the Battle of Dignity, in addition to the voluntary return program for the house, which included 12,500 families of various segments due, which reflects the Zakat Bureau to develop its programs and extend its services to meet the needs of the advantages.
At the end of his work, the Supreme Council for the secretaries of Zakat, led by Professor Mutasim Ahmed Saleh, Minister of Human Resources and Social Protection, approved the initiative to support the city and human beings in the light of the imposed blocking and deteriorate to reduce their suffering.
