The collapse of a traditional well
The Nile – 6 traditional metals were killed and 9 others were injured, following the collapse of a traditional exploitation well in the Bouba region of the Nile State, where the wounded were transferred to the Atbara hospital for treatment.
Sudan Doctors Network said in a statement that the injured received the necessary medical care after being assisted by the accident site.
The network held the government authorities, represented by the Sudanese mineral resource company, fully responsible for the repetition of these incidents, highlighting the need to take urgent measures to protect the life of traditional metal and improve the work environment in mining areas.
It should be noted that traditional mining areas in Sudan are often witness to similar incidents due to the absence of safety procedures and bad control, which worsens the size of human losses.
