Al -Azhar's sheikh directs …… Jabal Marra Urgent International Call
In one of the most ferocious natural disasters in the history of modern Sudan, while the rescue teams are always confronted with complex natural and geographic conditions that hinder efforts to search for survivors and disappeared people in Jabal Marra.
In a related context, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, expressed his sincere condolences to the Sudanese people, calling for a rapid international decision to provide humanitarian support. Al -Tayyib described the situation as a “big injured” which requires “an urgent moral break”, stressing the full solidarity of the Al -Azhar with the assignments.
For its part, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published an official declaration in which it expressed “sincere condolences” to Sudan, management and people, confirming “Cairo mindfulness to stand in Sudan in the face of the effects of the disaster”.
