Physiotherapists require the creation of independent centers in Sudan, the Ministry of Health of the Red Sea confirms its support for physiotherapy services

The Physiotherapy Department of the Al -Ashi Hospital for Orthopedics at Port Sudan celebrated International Physiotherapy Day, which fell on the eighth September of each year, during an event organized at the Martyrs Hall led by the Maritime Ports Authority.
Physiotherapists have called for the creation of independent and integrated centers for physiotherapy in government and private hospitals, calling for the creation of a specialized department of physiotherapy within the treatment sector, emphasizing the need to make the community aware of the importance of physiotherapy through media campaigns and educational activities, executives in this area.
For its part, the Ministry of Health in the State of the Red Sea highlighted its interest in improving physiotherapy services, noting the importance of exercise, in particular walking and wearing appropriate sports shoes to ensure the quality of the movement and the integrity of the body.
The question of this year's global celebration is noted from the “healthy aging” slogan, emphasizing the prevention of falls and weakness. This day was celebrated on a global scale since 1969, after the Foundation of the World Physiotherapy Federation in 1951, and the physiotherapy profession is one of the oldest health professions in the world. This day is an opportunity to introduce the role of physiotherapists in the patient service and society and to improve awareness of the advantages of physiotherapy.
The event has experienced a large participation in executive, health and community organizations, as well as physiotherapists and technicians from various therapeutic institutions. An integrated program was prepared on this occasion, under the auspices of the director general of the health sector and the Minister in charge of the State of the Red Sea, d. Ahlam Abdel -rasoul, who addressed participants, stressing the importance of physiotherapy to improve the quality of life and motor performance, calling for the need to raise awareness and build the efforts of the Physiotherapy Department.
