Professor Rabab Al -Badri, of the company's sustainability department, said: “This initiative is an extension of the previous projects provided by Zain Soudan to support students and educational infrastructure in the country, and she explained that the current project is in response to the circumstances that the war has left in the education sector, and the destruction of it to continue their schools. “It started in 2010 and continued until the war started, and its objective was to create an appropriate school environment for students in various states.
According to the distribution plan, the current stage includes the supply of 1,090 vacuum units that welcome more than five thousand students in the states of Khartoum, Al -jazeera, Le Nile Blanc, northern Kordofan, Sennar and Qadarfar. The company also provided a school uniform to nearly a thousand students in the Wad Al -noura region in the state of Al -Jazeera, in addition to academic bags and supplies, including books, pens and others.
For his part, Professor Daqallah Mohamed Nour, responsible for the government relations of the company, stressed that the initiative reflects the conviction of the company that education is a fundamental right for each child and that it is a major factor in the construction, development and development of companies. He added that the company will continue to work with its national and local partners to support efforts to support education, students and young people.
On the other hand, Zain provided other initiatives the aim of raising the capacities of young people, such as the vocational training project, which was very popular and acceptable among young people, and digital literacy initiatives, and the increase in women's opportunities in the technological sector which aims to reduce the gap between sexes and improve women's participation in the technology sector.
Zain also implemeted During the war period a series of development and Societal Projects that include first aid program for the Displaced, Environmental Sanitation Campaigns in Displacement Areas, Psychological and Social Support Activities for Children and the Ramadan Basket Project, support for those affected by Torrents and As Awareness -raising Projects of Mine and Explosives in Cooperation With the National Center for Combating Mine, and Campaigns Awareness of Weather and Early Warning of Natural Disasters in cooperation with the General Meteorological Authority.
